Statesboro.
Home to Luke Bryan, Cole Swindell, The Statesboro Swat and some of our favorite Peachtree Citizens.
{Statesboro Swat= Nats are everywhere, you’re always swatting them away there!}
This past weekend Adam and I were at it again! We made the Road Trip down I-16 to South Georgia to watch my brother, Joey and the Georgia Southern Eagles Class of 2015 Graduate. We started the celebration like we would any other, with a Tailgate. Cheers y’all!
After the ceremony the five of us continued the Road Trip to Savannah. Thankfully we had beautiful weather! There was a cool breeze coming in from Tropical Storm Ana and no rain! We had lunch at Tubby’s Seafood on River Street. Walked around downtown and had to grab a beverage at Wet Willies!
Our hotel was fantastic! Move over Marriott- Kimpton Hotels may just be our new favorite brand! Adam and I stayed at The Brice Hotel and had a beautiful room over looking the Savannah River. It was trendy and chic even offering yoga mats, bath robes, and flash lights in each room in case of an emergency.
We were welcomed with a bottle of Champagne, Kimpton Brand Cookies, fresh flowers and Homemade Cupcakes! What a wonderful welcome for our first time visiting! The staff was so friendly and helpful- they only have street parking and gave us suggestions of the closest, free places to park! Each evening the Hotel has a WINE HOUR- we were hooked!
{The Brice Hotel is DOG FRIENDLY. We didn’t tell Samson. Shhh!}
Mother’s Day we surprised Mom with lunch reservations to one of her favorites, Paula Deen’s The Lady & Sons. (Did you know they take reservations now?) Nothing says Savannah like Southern Fried Chicken, Sweet Tea with Mint and Butter Biscuits y’all! We did a little shopping around town and heading back to Atlanta!
Although we spent just a few hours in Savannah it was a wonderful weekend trip! We’d love to hear your favorite spots around Savannah- it’s just a 3 hour drive from Atlanta! Congratulations Joey and the Class of 2015!
We hope you are enjoying your Newly Newlywed or Nearly Newlywed moments as much as we are!
Cheers Y’all!
Adam & Holly
PS: Remember, were newlyweds not experts!
